Post-Election Hoopla

Post-Election GBM Nov. 5th 8pm Ursa's.

Election day will be a long day for a lot of us, so what better way to recoup than to hang out with Pride people, swap election day stories, eat cookies, and either celebrate or mourn together? We'll also have some speakers talk about their political involvement and how you can get involved too. Click on the title to follow a link to the facebook event.

While voting for President is important, do you know who you're voting for for Governor? State Treasurer? State Senate? Especially since a lot of LGBTQIA equality legislation happens on a state level (nondiscrimination legislation and legalization of same-sex marriage have all happened on a state level), local politics really matter for the LGBTQIA community. PROMO, Missouri's LGBT equality and political action group has a list of endorsed candidates for MO. Take a look and support progressive candidates:
And if you are voting in CA, be sure to vote "no" on Prop 8 to ensure that the same-sex marriage decision by CA's supreme court is not overturned.
