Hosted by PROMO, this is the launch of the Gender Identity Project. This will
be the first in a series of Town Hall Meetings focusing on Transgender
issues and the importance of trans issues and trans-inclusion to LGBT
Equality.
2.Safe Zones Open Ally Workshop!
TUESDAY, January 29th, 7PM in the Dardick Seminar Room
LGBTQIA? What do all those letters mean, anyway? Find out at the first
Safe Zones workshop of the year! Safe Zones is an organization dedicated
to educating the campus community on LGBTQIA issues. Individuals who
complete training will receive a placard that identifies them as a safe
space.
Pride Alliance is a multi-focus GLBTQIA (gay, genderqueer, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, ally, asexual) group open to all Wash U students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Our goals are to advocate GLBTQIA-friendly public policies through activism and greater awareness, to educate the WU community about GLBTQIA issues, and to build a supportive social network for GLBTQIA students. Pride General Body Meeting
Just a reminder that there is a Pride Alliance general body meeting tonight at 8:30pm at Ursa's Fireside. There will root beer floats to make and we will be discussing upcoming events like the Drag Show. We hope to see you all there!
